Progress Through Partnership
What is a School Council? A school council is group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school. Each year, every class elects one school council representative and one healthy school rep per year group, to form the School Council.
Our School Council is a great way of ensuring that all pupils get the chance to be listened to and are involved in some of the decisions that are made, to help make our school a fun and happy learning environment that we can be proud of.
Last year the School Council led the school in achieving the Eco School Schools Bronze Award. This year we are going for:
Eldwick Primary School Council have successfully improved the school by acting on behalf of the pupils to drive changes such as: picnic games tables, salad bar, grab bags, star badges, back packs, reduction in energy consumption and a total revamp of all the toilets!
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity providing a life saving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across Yorkshire.
To keep providing this life saving service the School Council have organised a recycling bank at the side entrance to school. Please bag up any old clothes, textiles and shoes and help this life saving charity.
