The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
As you may be aware, one of the biggest changes to Data Protection Law came into effect on the 25th May 2018. The General Data Protection Regulation (known as GDPR) is a really positive step that will allow you to take more control over your own data. You may have seen news reports about organisations (Facebook for example) losing people’s information or sharing it with other organisations without those people knowing about it or agreeing with it. The law changes on 25th May to make it more difficult for people’s information to be lost or shared like this.
We have updated our Data Protection Policy and privacy notices. This is all part of our commitment to compliance and protecting your personal information.
What’s changed?
We’re not changing how we use or collect your information. Rather, our updated policy and notices more clearly explains how, why, where and when we store and process your data, and also reflects your rights under the GDPR. If you have any questions about this, please contact us.

Being transparent and providing accessible information to individuals about how we use their personal data is a key element of the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
